Privacy Policy
We limit personal-data collection to the information needed to operate and protect your account, including your name, email address, profile preferences, collections, items, and support messages.
The platform is not intended for collecting identity documents, sensitive personal data, or third-party personal information. Do not place this type of information in collection names, descriptions, custom fields, links, or publicly shared content.
4rc4 stores the text, metadata, and remote URLs you provide. When you choose the image-upload feature, item, collection, and profile images are optimized and stored as private objects in Cloudflare R2. They are delivered through application-controlled routes rather than a public bucket. Remote files referenced by URL remain hosted by their respective third-party providers.
We do not store card numbers, bank-account details, or payment credentials. All financial and payment information is processed and managed by our billing partner, Stripe, under its own terms and privacy policy. 4rc4 retains only Stripe identifiers and limited subscription metadata and status needed to enable and manage plan access.
We use this information to create and maintain your account, sync subscription access and plan limits, keep your collections and items available across devices, prevent abuse, and provide support.
We share data only with service providers required to run the application, including hosting and database infrastructure, transactional email, Cloudflare R2 for uploaded images, Stripe for billing, Google Analytics for the public-page analytics described below, and Google Gemini for AI recommendations and news summaries requested by the user, or when disclosure is required by law.
Google Analytics is used on public marketing, legal, sign-in, password-recovery request, and publicly shared collection pages to understand traffic and usage. It may receive technical and usage information such as IP-derived location, device and browser information, page URL and title, referral source, timestamps, and cookies or similar identifiers according to Google's policies. It is not loaded on authenticated application pages, password-reset pages containing a reset token, or registration pages opened through a courtesy link.
When an eligible user explicitly requests an AI recommendation, 4rc4 sends Google Gemini the collection name and description and the names, descriptions, statuses, ratings, tags, and populated custom fields of its items. Gemini uses that context to generate the requested recommendation. Do not request AI recommendations for collections containing sensitive, confidential, or third-party personal information. Processing by Google is also governed by its applicable terms and privacy policies.
When an eligible user explicitly requests an AI summary for a feed item, 4rc4 accesses the public article URL, extracts readable article text, and sends Gemini the article title, source metadata, and extracted text. If the article cannot be read, the RSS description stored with the item is used instead. The generated summary may be cached temporarily to improve response time and is not written into the item.
When an eligible user requests the global AI Radar, 4rc4 collects recent public headlines through Google News RSS and sends Gemini the selected headlines, short descriptions, source names, publication times, and requested topic so it can create the briefing. Collection items are not used for this feature. A custom topic is also sent to Google News as a search query. Source results and generated briefings may be cached temporarily.
If you enable public link sharing, the collection name and every field you select become available to anyone with the generated link. You may also choose to disclose your name or email. Recipients can forward the link; disabling sharing or changing its public name ends access through the previous address. Search-engine indexing is disabled by default and may be enabled separately by an eligible user; blocking directives reduce indexing but do not make a disclosed link private.
If you invite another user through private collection sharing, that user can access the shared collection after accepting the invitation with the matching email address and required plan access. Depending on the permissions you grant, they may view, add, edit, delete, or export shared collection data while access remains active.
Remote images and links selected for display may connect visitors directly to third-party hosts. Those providers may receive technical data such as IP address, browser information, and request time under their own policies.
We keep account and content data while your account remains active, or as long as necessary for legitimate operational, legal, or security reasons.
Terms of Use
4rc4 is a personal collection manager. You are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and backup of the content you store in your account.
Keep your login credentials secure, do not share access with unauthorized users, and do not attempt to bypass plan limits, security controls, or access restrictions.
Paid access is provided through a single monthly Stripe subscription. Admin and courtesy accounts receive paid-plan benefits without billing actions.
If a subscription ends, creation remains blocked whenever usage is above the free limits until usage returns within the free tier.
Free accounts that remain inactive for 90 consecutive days may be considered abandoned and may be permanently deleted without prior notice, when permitted by applicable law, to keep our systems clean, secure, and optimized. Deletion may include the account and its collections and may be irreversible, so you are responsible for maintaining your own backup.
You must not use the service for unlawful, abusive, harmful, or disruptive activity, or to interfere with the application, infrastructure, or other users.
Accounts associated with activity reasonably identified as suspicious, fraudulent, automated, abusive, or threatening to the security or integrity of the service may be suspended, banned, or deleted, with or without prior notice when permitted by applicable law.
Do not publish confidential, unlawful, or third-party personal information through shared collections. You are responsible for selecting the public fields, distributing the link, and changing its public name or disabling it when access should end.
We may update features, limits, pricing, or these terms as the product evolves. Continued use of the service means you accept the updated terms.
